The Ordinary Definitory of the Province of Saint Anthony of Padua in the Democratic Republic of the Congo was held in Goma from Tuesday, April 28, to Friday, May 1, 2026.
Present were Brother Jean-Baptiste TABARO, Provincial Minister; Brother Michaël MUHINDO, Provincial Vicar; Brothers Raymond KAFULIRU, Pascal LUSHULI, Bienvenu KAHATI, Antoine MUYISA, and Elie MUNGUAKONGWA, all Provincial Definitors; and Brother Faustin PALUKU, Provincial Secretary.

During these sessions, the focus was on evaluating the life of the Province and the situation of the Brothers in formation. Despite the insecurity in Goma and throughout the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Definitory noted with joy that the Brothers are making an effort to remain close to the people, thereby bringing them spiritual and moral comfort.
In addition, the platforms of the Province of St. Anthony of Padua were adopted and made available to the Brothers and to those who can follow us from anywhere. These include the website www.franciscainsgoma.com, the Facebook page “Franciscans of Eastern DRC,” and the YouTube channel @FranciscainsdelEstRDC
