About the Province of St Anthony of Padua

The Province of Saint Anthony of Padua is one of the three administrative entities of the Order of Friars Minor (OFM) present in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It was created with the aim of bringing the friars closer to the people they are called to serve, in order to address the spiritual and social needs of local communities. The Franciscan friars of the Province of Saint Anthony of Padua work in close collaboration with local ordinaries, who entrust them with the care of certain parishes and schools. They also collaborate with charitable organizations to promote the well-being and dignity of the human person in this region, which is affected by recurring wars.
