Who We Are

The Order of Friars Minor (OFM) is a Catholic religious community founded by Saint Francis of Assisi in the 13th century. Present in Bukavu, we are involved in various pastoral, educational, and social activities to serve the local community. Our mission is to live according to the evangelical values of poverty, humility and fraternity, while providing spiritual and material support to people in need.

About the Province of Saint Anthony of Padua

The Province of Saint Anthony of Padua is a branch of the Order of Friars Minor that operates mainly in the Bukavu region. Founded to respond to the spiritual and social needs of the local community, the province is engaged in various initiatives, including education, healthcare, and community development. Our friars work closely with local parishes, schools, and charitable organizations to promote well-being and human dignity.
